Versailles newest album "Sacrifice" was released last month. "Sacrifice" was produced and written by Dianna St. Hilaire. Dianna has been referred to in the past as the Gothic Tori Amos and is now writing songs that fall between the lines of the 70's and 80's with roots from bands like "Depeche Mode" and "Joy Division". The songs are dark and ominous yet fun and inviting. Synthpop sounds with distinct melody lines and aggressive orchestrations. Songs encompass a wide variety of subject matter including love, vampires, war, the human soul, strength and struggle. Versailles has released multiple albums that have either been well received or just outright hated. Interest in Versailles prior albums spans the globe from places like Japan, Europe, The Middle East, even down into Mexico and South America. Versailles has toured the greater United States with bands like Ego Likeness and Bella Morte and is currently situated in Los Angeles. Versailles was most recently in the film "Black Room Doom" written by producer Kim Fowley of popular 70's band "The Runaways". Versailles is now equipped with three beautiful female members. Dianna St. Hilaire- Vocals, Keytar, Stephanie Rose- Bass, Marie Ilene- Drums. And the newest non-girl member is Shaun Richards- Guitar. Versailles will be performing at Club Vicious in August followed by a performance at this years Pink Parlour Festival in San Diego and a US tour in the fall. Performances include burlesque and cabaret attire, bananas and keytars.
